The Qutub Shahi Tombs are situated near India's renowned Golconda Fort in the Ibrahim Bagh (garden precinct) in Hyderabad. They house the mosques and tombs that different Qutub Shahi dynasty monarchs established. While the galleries of the bigger tombs have two stories, those of the smaller tombs have a single story. Each tomb has a sarcophagus in the center that sits over the real burial vault underneath it. Only a few portions of the original blue and green tiles that covered the domes are still there.

History
The tomb of Sultan Quli Qutub-ul-Mulk, the founder of the Qutub Shahi dynasty, is one of the most significant of the Qutub Shahi Tombs. He was the longest-serving project manager and personally erected his own tomb. Additionally, he made the decision to construct the graves of the royal families' non-ruling sisters, nephews, and nieces.
